As you all know, we collected area Halloween goodies last Monday as our first ever Candy Buy Back. All those goodies are currently en route to our Troops all over the world!

We would like to give a special thanks to our community members that are still bringing goodies in...we are forwarding a second shipment today. Thanks again for making our very first Treats for the Troops Candy Buy Back a success. You can view pictures of the goodies collected our our facebook page.

We are now about 30 minutes into our Candy Buy Back & are excited at the turnout! Parents keep those kids coming; we will be happy to make another trip to the bank for more cash if need be. This is a great cause!

A special thanks to the many community members who have dropped off donations for our Treats for Troops event. The actual buy back does not begin until 2:30 PM today. And, although we did not anticipate such thoughtfulness, we sincerely appreciate your help in making this event a success & know the troops do as well!

We are pleased to announce that we are now able to accept CHOCOLATE at our Candy Buy Back today. The Gold Star Mothers, a sister organization to the Blue Star Mothers, are able to use the chocolate in an upcoming event.

So be sure to bring all your extra candy by our office today after school. This is a win-win: KIDS,you get CASH, TROOPS get CANDY & a reminder of home, PARENTS--less sugar highs at home.

Come by the office today after school for our first Treats for the Troops Event! You can also bring in special messages for the troops to send over seas!

Today's the BIG day! After school today from 2:30-5:30 PM, we will be paying CASH for your CANDY--up to $5.00 per child. All the candy will be sent to our troops overseas with help from local service members' families & the Blue Star Mothers of Missouri. See you then!
